Elizabeth rocks and is the owner of this wonderful store! We love her, but she hasn't sent me a small bio yet, so please enjoy the following facts: 1) Elizabeth only prints on teal-blue pieces of paper; 2) Elizabeth's middle name is Cassandra--after her great-aunt's pet rattlesnake; 3) Elizabeth will only use Bluetooth keyboards, because she likes the fact that she can't see how the keyboard is connected to the computer. Feels like magic to her. And she loves magic.
The real bio: Elizabeth Bluemle is the owner of The Flying Pig Bookstore in Shelburne, Vermont, and blogs about children’s bookselling for Publishers Weekly. She is also the award-winning author of four picture books with Candlewick Press: My Father the Dog and How Do You Wokka-Wokka? (both illustrated by Randy Cecil), Dogs on the Bed (illustrated by Anne Wilsdorf), and Tap Tap Boom Boom(illustrated by G. Brian Karas).
“In toe-tapping, jazz-chant verse. . . . Bluemle’s story unfolds on a scale just right for preschoolers, with plenty of hullabaloo.” — Publishers Weekly (starred review)
"In an infectious burst of movement, rhythm, and rhyme, a multiethnic cast of children in an urban neighborhood strut their stuff." — School Library Journal (starred review)
